NEW ROUTE FOR 2025!!
You spoke and we listened! This year we've completely eliminated the railroad track crossings. You won't be crossing the ferry lanes or the boat ramp either. There should be nothing (except of course an emergency) that should stop you for even a second on this years route. Is that cheering I hear? :)
Here is a brief overview of the route and what to expect:
* The Start/Finish line will be back down on 3rd St below Rosehill Community Center.
* Runners will take off towards Totem Park with a view of the Mukilteo Lighthouse in the distance.
* After a quick run through Old Town on 2nd St you will head up to Mukilteo Blvd. Edgewater Bridge is still closed so there is very little traffic on the Boulevard right now and a nice wide shoulder to run on. :)
* You'll drop down a short but steep-ish hill towards the water enjoying classic Mukilteo views of the Salish Sea, our beautiful lighthouse and islands in the distance before turning towards Edgewater Beach.
* The next 1.5 miles is flat and fast as you travel towards Edgewater Beach. Be sure to check out the art on both the train station and ferry terminal as you run by. Enjoy salt air and gentle breezes as you enjoy a combination of sidewalks, paved paths and some gravel along the waters edge before looping back around for your final uphill to the Finish line below Rosehill (5k). 10k runners will veer off onto 2nd St before the finish to take a second lap of this pretty course.
Be sure to wear your timing chip pinned between your knee and hip on either side for an accurate time.
NOTE: ONLY SINGLE STROLLERS are allowed on this course due to route restrictions. Those lining up with double width strollers will be asked to return to their cars rather than participate in the event.
