Frequently Asked Questions

WHEN & WHERE CAN I PICK UP MY RACE PACKET?

EARLY BIB PICKUP - Friday, August 22nd from 2-6pm in the Vancouver Room of Rosehill Community Center, 305 Lincoln Ave.  Picking your packet up early means zero time waiting in line on Saturday morning.  Want to be a really good friend and pick up for your bestie too?  Just bring text, email or note from them giving you permission and we'll give you their stuff too.

On RACE DAY packets will be available below Rosehill Community Center on 3rd Street by the Start/Finish arch from 7:15-8:30am.  NO TIMING CHIPS WILL BE HANDED OUT AFTER 8:30 - NO EXCEPTIONS.  If you arrive late you are welcome to run but you will not be timed and will not be included in the final results.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS & PARKING - see Race Day Details tab

CAN I REGISTER ON RACE DAY?  Race Day registrations will be accepted via QR code/online registration until we are sold out or 8:30am - whichever occurs first.

WILL GEAR CHECK BE AVAILABLE?   Gear Check will NOT be available.

ARE DOGS OR STROLLERS ALLOWED ON THIS COURSE?  Pets are not allowed on this event due to insurance restrictions.  ONLY SINGLE STROLLERS ARE ALLOWED due to course restrictions. Those lining up with wide double strollers will be asked to return to their vehicle rather than participate in the event.

ARE HEADPHONES ALLOWED?  The use of personal music devices is strongly discouraged at this event.  If you must use them  we STRONGLY suggest using only one earbud and keeping the volume low enough to be able to hear Course Marshall and Safety Monitor instructions while running.  This is not a closed course.

WILL THERE BE BATHROOMS ON THE COURSE?  Restrooms are available inside Rosehill Community Center only.  There are public toilets available on the route at Edgewater Beach.

IS THERE A COURSE TIME LIMIT?  Since only a very small portion of our route is closed to traffic we do not have a course time limit for either the 5k or 10k events.  We do however need to be cleared out of the Community Center by 11:30 and we really, really want to be there to greet you when you cross the finish line!  Please plan on meeting or exceeding a 21 to 22 minute per mile pace to make sure you get all the recognition you deserve when you are done.

TIMING  Your race time will be recorded using RFID chip technology.  Be sure to pin your chip on the outside of your clothing between your hip and your knee so that the antennas pick you up.   Please wear your bib on the FRONT of your clothing when you cross the Finish Line.

AWARDS and CELEBRATION  Official times will be posted no later than 5pm on Race Day on this website.  Overall 5k winners will be awarded at 9:45, 10k at 10:30.  Age group winners will receive their awards in the mail.   Please allow 30 days for mailing.
